This figure shows notified cases of tuberculosis (TB) in Australia in 2011, presented by population subgroup and age. This graph shows that TB was predominantly seen in young adults aged 25-34 years. This was predominantly driven by high rates in overseas-born cases in this age group. Whereas in cases reported as Australian-born Indigenous and Australian born non-Indigenous, the burden of disease increased with age.
