When the outbreaks of histamine fish poisoning are plotted by year, no clear pattern of reporting or increase/decrease over time is evident. There were 10 or fewer outbreaks each year outbreaks reported each year. The number of people ill each year during these outbreaks peaked in 2003, with 37 cases. No particular seasonality is evident from the plot of outbreaks by month, although February was the most frequent month of onset.
