Figure demonstrates differences in genotype distribution based on vaccine usage in children under 5 years of age. RotaTeq is administered in Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia (A); while Rotarix is used in The Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, and the Northern Territory (B). In locations using RotaTeq, the dominant strains identified were G12P[8] (36%) and G2P[4] (18%). Conversely, the dominant strains in Rotarix States and Territories was G2P[4] (37%) and equine-like G3P[8], representing 32% of all genotypes identified.
