Line graph demonstrates the rates for influenza like illness by week of report and year, from 1 January 2014 to 30 September 2015, that shows a seasonal trend that is associated with influenza-like-illness in the southern hemisphere. The 2014 flu season peaked in week 37 at 27 notifications per 1,000 consultations. Average ILI rates for the first quarter of 2015 were lower than the previous year. ILI rates sharply increased above baseline in week 25 in 2015.  ILI rates peaked in week 34 at a rate of 33.62 ILI cases per 1,000 consultations. At the end of the reporting period (week 39) ILI rates were above baseline at 17.35 ILI cases per 1,000 consultations.
