Page last updated: 20 February 2019

Intended audience: Primary Health Networks (PHNs)

PHNs are recipients of Commonwealth grant funding through the PHN Program. This policy describes the management of conflicts and related party transactions across the PHN Program. PHNs demonstrate good governance by managing conflicts of interest and transactions with related people or organisations (related party). Good governance is important for government and community confidence in PHN commissioning processes.

The documents include:
  • guidance for PHNs on their obligations under the Standard Funding Agreement
  • strategies for PHNs to identify and manage conflicts and related party transactions, and
  • templates for PHNs to provide to the Department of Health to:
    • notify about conflicts
    • request approval for related party transactions.
