Potentially Preventable Hospitalisations Data

The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) provides information on healthy community indicators. Resources are available for many conditions for which hospitalisation is considered to be potentially preventable.

Healthy community indicators cover health topics including health risk factors, cancer, expenditure, and different population groups. Each topic has a number of different measures which can be explored across 31 Primary Health Network (PHN) areas.

These indicators were previously published on the MyHealthyCommunities website up to October 2018.

AIHW reports and interactive data tools are available online.
