The National Action Plan for the Health of Children and Young People: 2020-2030 provides a roadmap for a national approach to improve and ensure the health and wellbeing of all Australian children and young people – providing them with the best start to life. The Action Plan builds upon COAG Health Council’s Healthy, Safe and Thriving: National Strategic Framework for Child and Youth Health

The National Framework for Neonatal Hearing Screening provides an overarching framework which outlines the principles of a National Approach to Neonatal Hearing Screening.The framework provides high level guidance for a progressive implementation of Neonatal Hearing Screening in Australia.

The National Framework has been developed in consultation with jurisdictions with an aim of achieving harmonisation of their efforts. It is intended as a resource for jurisdictions to use when developing neonatal hearing screening services.

The National Framework was endorsed by the Community Care and Population Health Principal Committee of the Australian Health Ministers Advisory Council in August 2013.

The National Framework for Universal Child and Family Health Services (The Framework) (PDF 418 KB) - The Framework outlines the core services that all Australian children (from birth to eight years) and families should receive at no financial cost to themselves, regardless of where they live, and how and where they access their health care. The Framework was developed through a strong partnership between the Commonwealth, State and Territory governments and the non-government sector.

Children and Young People in Out-of-Home Care - The National Framework for Protecting Australia’s Children 2009 – 2020 was endorsed by the Council of Australian Governments on 30 April 2009. It represents a long-term, national approach to help protect all Australian children and was developed through a strong partnership between governments and the non-government sector.
