This report presents the findings of the MedsCheck Program Pilot which concluded on 31 August 2012. It identifies trends in patient demographics, the number of services delivered and its attributed costs.

Some key findings were the barriers to uptake and delivery of service, with the capacity of pharmacists being a limitation due to staffing levels. However, another finding was that pharmacies are adapting their business models to incorporate professional programs in their service structure.

The MedsCheck and Diabetes MedsCheck Programs were implemented nationally from 1 July 2012.
