PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE (PROSTHESES) AMENDMENT RULES 2017 No. 6

The delegate of the Minister for Health has made the Private Health Insurance (Prostheses) Amendment Rules 2017 No. 6 (the Amendment Rules), to amend the Private Health Insurance (Prostheses) Rules 2017 No. 2 (the Principal Rules) – colloquially known as the August 2017 Prostheses List.

The delegate made the Amendment Rules on 16 November 2017 and were published on the Federal Register of Legislation on 22 November 2017. Amendment Rules 2017 No. 6 came into effect on 23 November 2017.

Amendment Rules 2017 No. 6 contains two Schedules with different commencement dates to address changes to Part A of the August 2017 Prostheses List.

Schedule 1: Billing Code DD005 (column headed Min benefit) – Omit “1325”, substitute “3969”. Commencement date: The day immediately after registration.

Schedule 2:Billing code DD005 – Repeal the entry for billing code DD005, and insert the contents of the table below, after entry BI884:
