PHI 35/18 Prostheses List – XML Schema (PDF 46 KB)

This circular informs users that the XML Schema for the Prostheses List is now available on the Prostheses List website.

The Department of Health publishes the Prostheses List which, amongst other things, is used by stakeholders to update their claims and payments systems. The current published list is available from Department of Health’s website in MS-Excel, PDF and MS-Access format.

The August 2018 Prostheses List will be produced using the MS –Access platform, so a public version of the platform will be made available to users to update their claims and payments systems.

For future lists, the MS-Access format will not be published and will be replaced by XML.

This document is the schema definition document that goes with the Prostheses List in XML format to help external stakeholders to update their claims and payments systems.

Users are invited to use the XML Schema document and file to prepare their systems for implementation when the March 2019 Prostheses Lists is published, which is planned for mid-February 2019.

If you have any queries or concerns about the XML Schema, please email to the Prostheses Section at Prostheses@health.gov.au with “XML Schema” in the Subject field.
