PHI 76/18 Prostheses List – Critical Dates for March 2019 (PDF 42 KB)

This circular provides information for stakeholders on the critical dates for making and publishing the March 2019 Prostheses List. This supersedes the information provided in circular PHI37/18 issued in June 2018.

From March 2019, the Prostheses List will be published three times per year, in accordance with a commitment in the Government’s Agreement with the Medical Technology Association of Australia (MTAA). The three Prostheses Lists will take effect from 1 March, 1 July and 1 November.

The dates for the March 2019 Prostheses List have been revised in view of changes to the Prostheses List Management System (PLMS) that will impact on the processes for making and publishing the Prostheses List. The revised dates will support stakeholders in moving to the new arrangements.

The revised dates are:

Publication of the draft Prostheses List23 January 2019
Deadline to make corrections to the draft Prostheses List and to update applications with inclusion of devices in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG)31 January 2019
March Prostheses List published15 February 2019
March Prostheses List effective1 March 2019
Please note that sponsors can check their listings on the Prostheses List at any time. Listings can only be changed via applications made by sponsors through the PLMS. Also, sponsors can update their applications with ARTG numbers at any time in PLMS.
