Nursing-Home Type Patient Contribution Rates in Western Australia

The Private Health Insurance (Complying Product) Amendment Rules 2012 (No. 9) (the Complying Product Amendment Rules) were registered with the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments (FRLI) and commence on 28 November 2012 (FRLI No: F2012L02269).

The Rules amend the Private Health Insurance (Complying Product) Rules 2010 (No. 2).

The nursing-home type patient contribution rate for Western Australia (WA), as requested by WA, has been updated to reflect the indexation applied to the Adult Pension Basic Rate and Maximum Daily Rate of Rental Assistance.

The amendments update the patient contribution rates for nursing-home type patients in WA to $52.05.
