Description of clinic
The GP Super Clinic is known as the Cobram Medical and Dental Centre and is part of the Cobram District Health campus. The health campus also offers acute care, residential aged care and community health services.
The clinic opened on 10 October 2011.

Services
Multidisciplinary care
The Cobram GP Super Clinic provides multidisciplinary, integrated services using qualified health professionals. A range of services are provided through GPs, dentists, nursing staff, allied health professionals and visiting specialists. Additional integrated services are provided by the Cobram Community Health Centre adjacent to the clinic.

Culturally appropriate care
Health information is provided in different languages.
Female GPs in the workforce assist patients with culturally appropriate care for the significant Islamic population in the region.
Preventative care
Health checks and early chronic disease care planning services are available. Preventative healthcare is available from a Dietitian, a Podiatrist and a Diabetes Educator.
Operating hours
Medical Services: Monday to Friday 8am to 5.30pm.
Dental Services: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm.
GPs are rostered in the Emergency Department in the co-located hospital, 9am to1pm weekends and public holidays.
Billing arrangements
Medical services are bulk billed for health care concession card holders, pensioners and children under 16 years. Services are bulk billed for patients receiving Medicare Chronic Disease Management services. Psychiatry services are bulk billed. Allied health services are billed at the Medicare rebate levels where possible.
Dental services – bulk billing for Medicare CDM patients, Veteran Affair’s Card Holders, Teen Voucher Patients, Victorian Denture Scheme patients and Victorian Emergency Dental Scheme patients.

Home visits and visits to residential aged care facilities
Visits to residential aged care facilities are available.
Clinical training arrangements
The Cobram GP Super Clinic supports the future primary care workforce by providing training placements through University of Melbourne in partnership with Goulburn Valley Health Public Dentistry. Medical interns and medical and dental students provide patient consultation and treatment. In addition, training for all clinical staff in a range of subject areas such as dental emergencies is undertaken.
