Internationally, he is a member of working groups for the WHO Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Pertussis and Pneumococcal vaccines and was appointed in 2012 to the newly established Immunisation Research Advisory Committee of WHO. He has been an invited speaker at international meetings on pertussis and neonatal immunisation. Peter McIntyre is a reviewer for over 10 national and international journals and an author of over 200 papers and book chapters.
